Shipped on time and I am thrilled with the customer service and the product. Nice quality cardstock and embossment. The order took over 5 weeks once she mailed it. Florida to CT. That was USPS holiday delivery service. But, Adriprints followed the tracking with me and even called on of the post offices to try to help out.

Item: Let There Be Peace on Earth, embossed eco-friendly holiday boxed card set, art by Adriana Bergstrom

I love when I get repeat buyers, here’s what one lovely customer had to say about buying a second painting from me…

Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #131: Emotions…

I saw this sculpture a few years ago at Garden For Sculpture in Hamilton, New Jersey. I think this is one of the most emotional sculpture I’ve seen. What is their story? Are they re-uniting or parting? Look into her eyes, do you see joy or sorrow? Are they in a secluded spot for a reason? The possibilities of their story are endless.

If you’re ever in NJ and looking for a delightful way to spend the day visit the Grounds For Sculpture, you won’t be sorry. And don’t forget to look for the hidden art !https://www.groundsforsculpture.org/

Adri Makes a Thing or Two 2020-11-23 15:14:00

This year is nothing if not unrelenting. I have had some great ups: Yay for book sale and art licenses! And my family and I have had some really difficult things to deal with. My uncle on my mom's side passed away very suddenly in July, and then my stepfather (my best father) died in September.

If you've been having a stressful year, you're not alone in your sorrows! Regardless of what this year brings to this last month and a half, I hope you are keeping hope alive. Perhaps this blog post brings a bit of light and warmth into your day.

Warm Holiday Wishes,

Adriana

Thanks to everyone for your feedback on my holiday cards (on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook), I put the favorites on the shop for presale.

According to the printers, they should be at my studio 12/4 or earlier. I'll fold the cards, pack and ship pre-orders and they should go out by 12/4.
This is set #2 for the Latinx market (my friends and family!). The final favorites are now available to pre-order!
yes on top of everything I also had a kidney stone this month.

Happy Holidays!

Ragtag Daily Prompt Thursday: Connection…

I like the way these two drawings of hands knitting are actually connected by a knitted piece.

2020 Photo Challenge #21…

This week’s assignment – Use strong backlighting (i.e. shooting towards the light source, but do not look directly at the sun) to create a contre-jour image where the subject becomes a silhouette, OR shoot the light through flowers or leaves creating a transparent effect.

My choices are:

Friendly Friday Photo Challenge – Art Unexpected…

Clockwise from upper right:  tree sculpture in PA – easels in windows – statues and metal cows at the Field Gallery on Martha’s Vineyard – sidewalk art – mural in NJ – piano in Greenwich Village, NYC.

My daughter and I are deeply into our genealogy and have been visiting cemeteries where our ancestor are buried.  I’ve always found cemeteries to be interesting places, especially the older ones where grave stones and markers are indeed works of art.  We have several ancestors buried in Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Newark, New Jersey, which is Newark’s oldest cemetery and in my opinion the most beautiful and interesting one.  The cemetery has a special section for the firemen of Newark and that is where my great, great grandfather is buried.  The unexpected art connection to me are the fire hydrants that surround this section.

Scream…

Chamber of Internal Dialogue. This was taken at the Grounds For Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ in October 2011.  Aren’t we all screaming internally at times 🙂

Photo A Day Challenge: Sea Green…

‘Warped Clipper Ship’ by American artist Valerie Hegarty.

I like this because it’s different.  To me the  dominant color is sea green, and also the sea is in the picture.  🙂  Saw this in Oct 2018 at the Portland Museum of Art in Maine.
