Lens-Artists Challenge #190 – Close and Closer…

Gay Head Lighthouse, Martha’s Vineyard from one side and walking around to the other side I looked closer and there was my daughter.
I didn’t realize that shown in the window behind the bike were my daughter and our friend until I looked closer.
Sailing home from Martha’s Vineyard if you look closer out the window of the ferry Island Home you can see West Chop lighthouse.
Not a fly on the wall but on a window of the Gay Head Lighthouse, Martha’s Vineyard.

RDP Wednesday – WOOL…

From the shearing of the goats and sheep to the final product, this is the story of wool. My daughter and I went to our first shearing event several years ago and it was beyond interesting. The way the animals sort of zone out while they’re being sheard to the softness and warmth of the lanolin drenched wool fresh off the sheep and goats. The last picture is of sweater my daughter made.

RDP SATURDAY: HUG…

Mother and daughter.

RDP Monday: SPATTER…

I love this picture of Mickey Mouse seeing himself as Walt Disney in his version of the Norman Rockwell self portrait. I did this in counted cross stitch and when it came time to have it framed there was no question in my mind that this frame spattered with paint was perfect. It’s still one of my favorite cross stitches.

CBWC: 2 different things or the number 2…

I’ve chosen to go with the number two, starting with today’s date on the calendar, January 2nd

Lens-Artists Photo Challenge -#174- Shapes and Designs…

I enjoy coloring, find it relaxing and creative, here are two collages of some of the shapes and designs I’ve colored.

A Photo a Week Challenge: Gateways…

For gateways I’m using photos taken at the Central Railroad of NJ Terminal at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ

The Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal was the railroads waterfront passenger terminal in Jersey City, NJ. The terminal was built in 1889, replacing an earlier one that had been in use since 1864. It operated until April 30, 1967.
